SVS exploring Spring drive-thru

Sacramento Valley Spark is working to host a “Spring Spark drive-thru” art experience.

The organization is asking the city of Rancho Cordova to support this followup to our wildly successful “Summer Spark drive-thru.” The proposal is to host the drive-thru for three consecutive evenings May 21, 22, 23 at the Mine Shaft.

The drive-thru format provides a safe environment as pandemic conditions improve.

“It’s hard to say exactly what the rules and conditions will be in May, but we’re committed to providing a safe environment and can flex our format as needed,” said Ed Fletcher, the organization’s president.

Theme camps, installation art, mutant vehicles and flow arts performers create an active immersive environment as local DJ and live musicians provide the soundtrack.

SVS is seeking to utilize Rancho Cordova public arts funds, earmarked for the playa art park.

Stay tuned for our call for artists and volunteers.
