In 2025, Sacramento Valley Spark (SVS) had the honor of partnering with the Midtown Association to present the Urban Dreams Art Experience. This city-wide exhibition transformed rooftops, alleyways, and public spaces into an open-air gallery, inspired by the creative spirit of Burning Man.
Sixteen large-scale, immersive art installations were erected and displayed for 40 days around Midtown Sacramento between August and September 2025. An interactive map of the installations helped spectators to learn more about the artists and the stories behind their work.
“People came back [from Burning Man], and they’re like, ‘We’ve got to do more of this.’” SVS President Ed Fletcher said in an interview with ABC10 Sacramento. “How can we bring some of that energy to the Sacramento region?”
SVS helped to do just that by tapping into its diverse network of creative Burners to contribute additional live art, music, and more to the Art Walk experience.
