Sacramento Valley Spark will begin developing a plan to create a Sacramento Playa Art Park in Rancho Cordova thanks to a grant from the city. The grant was accepted at the September Board Meeting Monday, Sept. 23 at the Sacramento Hacker Lab. The park is tentatively set to be open in the Fall of 2020.

The $16,000 from Rancho Cordova will build excitement toward the Sacramento Playa Art Park though “Summer Spark.” A minimum of $2,500 will be used as stipends for artists. The hope is to secure one to three pieces for a two-week exhibition.
