Quirky Corky’s Bottle Cap Car

~ About Quirky Corky: I love up-cycling and turning trash into treasure. I first was fascinated as a teenager by the bottle tabs on soda cans and even though I didn’t drink them – would save them from family and friends. I made my own chain mail & linked the soda can tabs together using 12 gauge wire. Understandably it was the wrong gauge wire to use. Myself and one other friend painstakingly cut every single link by hand.

My interest continued as I started the idea of collecting bottle caps at the Post-production Commercial Studio I was working at in LA. I’ve continued to join communities that also celebrated up-cycling down in the Salton Sea. Doing art gatherings with residents and close friends; where all the art supplies were really just a pile of what most would consider garbage. The entire Art Garden was upcycled crap turned beautiful. Largest outdoor art garden in the world in the middle of the desert.

I turn a lot of trash into treasure. I look forward to taking more quirky obscure trash & turning it into something unique. I’m a trash pirate princess, your trash is my treasure!
