2021 Board Candidates

ELECTION OVERVIEW

The 2021 Sacramento Valley Spark Board elections are now complete! We received two valid candidacy applications for two open positions, so there was no need to send ballots out to our members – technically, both candidates won with one vote each (from our election coordinator). Both candidates are active current board members and we are thrilled they want to continue serving our members!

CANDIDATES

Angela Gentry (aka Princess Fussy Pants)

Angela Gentry first went to Burning Man in 2004. As the event tends to do, it inspired her to be more creative and involved in the community. She’s worked on theme camps, art cars, and volunteered for local and regional events.  She is currently the SVS Secretary. Additionally she is involved in helping set up the Burners Without Borders Sacramento Region Chapter.

“I’m grateful to be a part of a fun, creative and loving community.  It motivates me in so many ways, so I’m hoping to keep bringing my skills and help to the table and continue to bring fun events and more art and joy to the default world.”

Tim Eliseo (aka Cilantro)

Tim Eliseo has been involved in organizing local Burner events at least as far back as Burn the River in 2011, and has served on the SVS Board of Directors for the past three years. He’s a really long-time Burner and Black Rock Ranger. Tim is proud of what the SVS organization has accomplished in the past few years, and looks forward to more local community, support of amazing art, great events, and expansion of reach to bring in greater diversity. Without Burning Man the last two years, local involvement has become even more important. The Sacramento Valley community is awesome!

Tim’s experience, insight, commitment, and institutional knowledge, as well as being a tech wizard and photographer, makes him a valuable part of the SVS Board. He would like your vote to allow him to serve another term.
