It Takes a Village: Volunteer Opportunities with Sacramento Valley Spark

It Takes a Village: Volunteer Opportunities with Sacramento Valley Spark

As the preparation begins for our 5th year of planning activities and events for the community, the Sacramento Valley Spark volunteer coordinators find ourselves surrounded by to-do lists, timelines, schedules, agendas and rosters.  It’s a chaotic time, but one that gives great satisfaction in rallying together and finding camaraderie in  what we call the “Sparkler family” or our great circle of dedicated and passionate SVS volunteers.

The old phrase “it takes a village” is quite apparent when planning for any event.  For 2017 SVS has 4 key events planned and is looking to assemble enthusiastic, community minded individuals and groups to bring it all to life.

SVS love’s connecting our volunteers with opportunities that are a great fit for their interests and talents, and then watching the magic happen.  Volunteers embody what it means to be part of the SVS community, working with friends old and new, united by the music and art, to support SVS programs.

Volunteers are vital to the longevity and success of helping bring our greater community together year after year. SVS is looking for a variety of volunteers to work in the following areas in support of the 2017 events and programs:

-Event Leads
-Team Leads
-Sponsorship coordinator
-Communications lead
-Day of event volunteers
-and more!

Join us on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Midtown Beach Hut Deli to learn first hand about the events and sign up as a volunteer with a ‘volunteer bonanza’.  Learn about the events in science fair style of setting.
